“Running Alliance Sport is extremely proud and happy to have Jon Walk as an integral part of our events production.” – Robby Sabban |
BIOGRAPHY
Even though the 49-year-old father of one has only been race announcing for a little more than eight years (2007), Jon Walk has been actively – and at times, very heavily – involved in numerous running and multisport communities after taking up running in 2003.
A former certified USAT race director who also possesses a diverse and deep sports media background, Jon is able to bring to any event quality, professional, clear and concise pre-race, finish line and post-race communication.
Walk’s finish line announcing abilities and event production experience allows him to support nearly all events as a “de facto” start and/or finish line manager -- freeing the race director or their staff up for other duties -- to ensure that races not only start on-time but are also presented as professionally as possible to participants.

SERVICES
Jon typically begins announcing one (1) hour before the start of the earliest event with periodic 10-minute time checks designed to get runners to the start in an orderly, timely and informative fashion.
Announcements continue through the race’s start where Jon manages the pre-race timeline and then transitions to finish line announcer as runners approach and complete their race. He then is available to emcee the post-race awards ceremonies, depending on the timeline.
His services do not include providing music to play during pre-race, as runners cross the finish line or post-race. Jon can recommend those service providers to an event producer, if desired and needed.
